Each strand weight 0.75g and has approx 180 individual hairs that are bonded together on the ends by a keratin protein glue of I shape hair that is... THE SHOELACE / NEEDLE TIP AND THIS HAIR CAN BE USED WITH THE MICRO LINKS, RINGS, BEADS, TUBES AND SHRINKIES .... which connected to individual section of your hair. Since these 100% HUMAN SLEEK HAIR HAS BEEN CUTICLE ALIGNED TO ENSURE LESS TANGLING AND DURABILITY, you can wash, dry and style just like your own hair. You may also curl, flat ironed or even color that hair. It can take anywhere from 150-250 strands for a full head of hair depending on how thick your own hair is. They last approx 3-4 months before they need to be taken out and redone again.
*Gorgeous colors especially fade easily than other special colors. Hot water makes color fade quickly. Do not expose to sun light, tanning beds or over shampooing. When you go in sun wear a hat or hair sunscreen. The bad thing is it says the hair is 22 inch long and they sent me 18 inch hair that is complete false advertisement. They are exactly as pictured. I recommend removing the tips, or at least really cutting them short. The only problem is that since these are real hair and have been extensively treated they are liable to fritz and tangle. They are VERY straight, my hair has a slight wave and the difference is noticeable in my barely neck length hair. I don't blow dry or do much prepping of my hair but I imagine a curler would work. The only problem is that I only used 3 strands, so I either go pink for a year or waste some money.
